WCHC’s Vol III, pg 209: [Due to major road changes in this area (i.e. Ronald Reagan Blvd, subdivisions, etc) these directions are no longer valid.] Per Nell Kauffman 1979….”About 6 miles E of Liberty Hill, take CR 268 S, drive 1/2 mile, turn right at CR 267. This cemetery is on the property of Dr. W. C. Wedemeyer, in a large pasture & inaccessible by automobile. It is fenced.”

Per Mrs. Thelma Lackey, granddaughter of the Wells, says Mary E. (Peyton) Upchurch was the sister of Frances (Peyton) Wells, who is buried in the WELLS CEMETERY on the same property.”

Per Field Notes included in County Clerk Instrument Number 194702038 dated September 12, 1947, “…THENCE S 71 deg. 18′ W 703.62 feet to fence corner near a small graveyard on this tract in which Henderson Upchurch and Mary Upchurch, his wife, are buried…”

2019 NOTE:  WCAD: 1501 CR 267, access off Ronald Reagan Blvd on Kauffman Loop then L on CR 267 until development is constructed.  The Wedemeyer 927.3 acre property is being developed = Bar “W” Ranch.  City of Leander has plans to fence in the cemetery as part of the development.
