Memorial Brick Program

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

About the Program

The Williamson County Historical Commission is responsible for ongoing projects such as: (1) map, photograph and record every cemetery and historical marker located in Williamson County; and (2) preserve Williamson County’s rich history through the lives and stories of its citizens by recording their oral histories.

To help fund the oral history program, cemetery maintenance and restoration, and historical marker programs, the Commission sponsors a Memorial Brick Program at a cost of $50 per 4″ x 8″ brick.  The bricks, which can be purchased in honor or in memory of any citizen or veteran, are installed on the four corners of the sidewalk surrounding the Williamson County Historic Courthouse.  The number of bricks that can be installed is estimated at 1,000.

The bricks are made by a private company and the city of Georgetown installs them in batches for efficiency reasons.  Please be patient as it may take several weeks before they are installed.
